Apple Basket is for the quilter who likes to "paint" with fabric.  This appliquéd still life is created from my oil painting under the tutelage of artist Dominique Richard.  There are ten apples with a basket that has a braided rim to give the effect of a woven basket.  The background is also appliquéd together to include the shadows.  The apple stems are done by embroidery.  A collage format is part of the construction technique.
