Cliff Lake is a design inspired by a walk in a Rain Forest. It's a great pattern to learn non-traditional straight piecing. Make it as a small vertical quilt or make several to create something larger. It requires very little fabric, scraps will do if you have them and a fat quarter will make the frame. The instructions are for a new way to paper piece without sewing through the paper. Some of the advantages in this technique include no stress on the stitching to remove the paper and best of all, you can choose which way to iron your seam allowance. This pattern includes complete instructions and diagrams for mitered corners and binding for a finished quilt. It is perfect for the beginning quilter who wants to learn a new technique and practice finishing a quilt. A single Cliff Lake with frame is 11" x 13". |
