Mountain Road is a landscape consisting of three blocks to make a 12" square. This curved piecing pattern has several seams bending in two different directions and a proliferation of pine boughs making it a little more advanced in skill level. Land and vegetation print fabrics work great for the foreground. Fabrics that have small wild life animals are also fun. The background mountains require a fabric that has texture but little or no design. The pine tree is a block that can stand alone. Make one or several and put them together for a bigger quilt. Skill level is intermediate.
