This quilt was an adventure in color and design.  The design is an original draft of a traditional log cabin.  The spirals of fall colors have a feel of leaves blowing in the wind.  The quilt pattern is a repeat of four swirled leaves.  As an early piece the quilts are in a comforter style having less quilting than a more traditional quilt.
 

 A traditional design with a star design on the reverse side.  The unusual use of a tan/brown fabric is what gives this quilt life.  This quilt was constructed to show how to use a varying group of colors to create a dynamic look.  Quilted in a comforter style.
 

 The Apple is my first original design.  It is constructed using straight seam piecing in an unusual format.  Both vertical quilts are early creations.  The Red Apples has been revised with more traditional quilting.  The Golden Apple has minimal quilting.
