Rose in a Vase is a sweet pattern for the rose enthusiast.  Keep a rose year round in your home to bring you good cheer.  The rose is designed in a realistic form and has the option of simple or complex leaves.  The fine stems on the leaves are couched using pearl cotton and the rose stem is made from a bias tube.  The technique described for construction is a collage format.  There is also a little  needle turn used for the complex leaves.  The rose, leaves, vase and background are put together as individual parts and then combined for completion.
